Friday Night Lights EMS provides in-person CPR classes, AED training, First Aid certification, and CAL-OSHA-compliant fire extinguisher training for healthcare teams, teachers, coaches, and local businesses.Every class is led by Sergio Casanova — 25-year Fire Captain and 20+ year CPR/First Aid instructor — who’s seen the emergencies you’re preparing for and knows what works when seconds count.

In every class, you will:
Recognize an emergency and take action.
Perform compressions, ventilations, and AED use on training mannequins.
Practice choking response, bleeding control, and basic life support.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Cost: $55

For medical professionals including MAs, LVNs, RNs, Doctors, Dentists, and EMTs.
When: Last Saturday of every month or by appointment Typical class is 2.5 hours
Includes: CPR for Adults/Children/Infants AED certification.
Class size: 1 instructor per 8 students; can accommodate up to 36 people with advance notice and multiple instructors.
Heartsaver First Aid + CPR + AED Certification
Cost: $80
Los Angeles County
For teachers, coaches, childcare providers, construction teams, and other workplace groups; Warehouse, Labs, and Office settings.
When: Last Saturday of every month or by appointment.
Includes: First Aid basics, CPR for all ages, choking response, and AED.
Class size: 1 instructor per 8 students; can accommodate up to 30 people with advance notice.
K-12 First Aid & CPR Course available upon request for Students, Faculty and Staff
CAL-OSHA compliant Fire Extinguisher Training
Cost: Call / Text to discuss
On-site
Hands-on Fire Extinguisher Training. CAL-OSHA-Certified. Our class uses a controlled “Live Fire” training prop for the Real Life Experience.
When: On-site training scheduled at your business on your schedule. We come to your location and train your designated personnel to use extinguishers safely and to help lead others in an emergency.
Includes: Classification of fires and extinguishing agents used on: Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D and Class K. Demonstrate how to properly operate an extinguisher using the acronym P.A.S.S.
Class size: We can accommodate up to 30 people with advance notice.

Our most frequently asked questions about CPR certification, BLS recertification, and workplace safety training.
How long are CPR certifications valid?
Certifications are generally valid for two years. We recommend recertifying before your employer or licensing body requires it. If you've completed our class before, please collect your AHA eCard Vertification here.
Can CPR training be done online?
Online videos can teach concepts, but hands-on in-person training builds muscle memory and confidence. We strongly recommend in-person sessions for effective CPR and AED skills. Our in-person emergency response training will prepare you better.
Who should take Basic Life Support vs. Heartsaver?
Basic Life Support classes are designed for healthcare providers and clinical staff. Heartsaver classes are for lay rescuers — teachers, coaches, childcare workers, and workplace teams.
Do you come to our workplace for group training?
Yes — we offer on-site group training across LA County, in Southern California. Just fill out our form. For larger groups (up to 36+), please contact us in advance so we can schedule additional instructors.
Can I get certified for my workplace requirements?
Yes, we give you emergency response training. Our CPR, AED, First Aid, and fire extinguisher courses meet OSHA, CAL-OSHA, and American Heart Association (AHA) standards. If you've completed our class before, please collect your AHA eCard Vertification here. Many employers — including schools, healthcare facilities, and businesses — accept our certifications to meet their training requirements. If your workplace has specific guidelines, let us know and we’ll make sure your training meets them.
How often should I recertify?
CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications are valid for two years. We recommend scheduling your recertification before your current card expires to keep your skills sharp and your credentials active. Emergencies don’t happen on a schedule — staying current means you’ll be ready anytime. If you've completed our class before, please collect your AHA eCard Vertification here.

AHA eCard Verification
Friday Night Lights EMS and The CPR Lady Training Center provide additional support beyond AHA training classes.AHA eCard verification is available. Employers may request verification of an AHA eCard issued by Friday Night Lights EMS using an automated system online.
Cancellation Policy
A place in the class has been reserved JUST FOR YOU; space is limited.We understand that situations beyond your control may arise, requiring you to reschedule a class. Please give at least 48-hour notice if you are unable to attend. Participant is given one opportunity to reschedule, and it must be rescheduled within 60 days (Provider Courses) or next available class (Instructor Courses) of the original class date.All cancellations could be subject to a fee. Cancellations require a minimum of 48-hour notice before start of the class, and are only eligible for the initial class date.No refund will be given for cancellations on or after the day of the class.
